The population of tiny Lossburg, Germany, is about to swell once again, thanks to Arburg GmbH + Co. KG.
Arburg is holding its first-ever Packaging Days event at its headquarters on Nov. 5-6. Speakers from around the world will discuss market developments, trends and innovations.
Arburg is running packaging demonstration machines.
But Packaging Days is not all work and no play. The first day ends with an evening dinner at the Arburg’s Customer Center. An optional program includes a tour of the regional brewery Alpirsbacher Klosterbrau and a visit to Foboha GmbH in Haslach, Germany, which specializes in turning-cube molds.
In other news, Arburg is showing two Freeformer 3-D printers at Euromold, Nov. 25-28 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Arburg, based in Lossburg, Germany, will produce a two-piece sliding lock.
Both Freeformers will be equipped with a three-axis component carrier and two stationary discharge units. The second discharge unit can be used to print an additional component, to produce a part in different colors, with special tactile qualities, or as with a combination of hard and soft areas.
Arburg’s U.S. unit, Arburg Inc. is in Newington, Conn.
