Plastic products distributor Curbell Plastics Inc. has made its second acquisition in less than two years, buying distributor O&P Enterprises Inc. for an undisclosed price.
Gurnee, Ill.-based O&P serves the orthotic and prosthetic market, distributing plastics, foams, fabrication materials, supplies and equipment. Current O&P management and employees will be retained, officials with Orchard Park, N.Y.-based Curbell said in a Nov. 4 news release.
The purchase expands Curbell’s geographic footprint and offers “another trusted channel to market” for the plastic sheet manufacturing base, they added.
“As we continue to increase our market presence, we are committed to invest in our facilities, equipment and people to provide the best service to the region,” President Gerry Helbig said.
In December 2012, Curbell bought distributor American Plastics of Arlington, Texas. That sale included a unit focused on orthotics and prosthetics. In July 2013, Curbell moved the American Plastics business to a larger site in Arlington.
Curbell now operates 17 U.S. sales and distribution sites. The firm distributes plastic sheet, rod, film and tube for commercial and industrial markets. | |
