LENOIR, N.C.(Feb. 16, 2 p.m. ET) -- Bemis Manufacturing Co. has added a Milacron injection press with 3,000 tons of clamping force at its factory in Lenoir.
The Maxima MG 3000 was delivered in late 2011, said Rick Martin, manager of market and business development for Bemis Custom Plastics in the southeast.
The Maxima MG uses 10 to 20 percent less floor space than comparable machines, giving Bemis room to add more presses when needed.
The big Milacron press gives Bemis the ability to mold large custom parts for business and industrial markets including the automotive, housewares, appliance, storage and transport containment, furniture and construction industries.
“The Maxima MG 3000 gives us the ability to produce parts to our exact production requirements,” Martin said. |
