MARION, OHIO (Feb. 17, 11:30 a.m. ET) -- Auto supplier U.S. Yachiyo Inc. will invest more than $10 million to expand its fuel tank manufacturing plant in Marion.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 40 percent, six-year tax credit to help finance the expansion on Jan. 30. U.S. Yachiyo -- part of Yachiyo Industry Co. Ltd. of Yachiyo, Japan -- blow molds plastic tanks for Honda Motor Co. Ltd.’s assembly plant in nearby Marysville, Ohio.
Vice President Ray Sanders told local media in Marion that the expansion will bring 30 additional jobs to the existing 175 at the site.
Local city and county officials also were expected to approve tax breaks to help finance the 40,000-square-foot addition. |
